Three enticing main pools and three secluded private hot pools are nestled in a heavily wooded rainforest, beneath mature 30 metre tall trees, ideal for family groups and couples. The temperatures of the three main pools and three secluded private pools range from 36 to 40 degrees.
Massage facilities add to an atmosphere of complete indulgence. Towels, lockers, swim clothing retail and refreshment facilities are all available on site.

About the Pools
The multi-million dollar complex is the only commercial hot pools on the rugged West Coast of New Zealand's South Island. All hot pools are filled with pure local glacier water descending from Kâ Roimata a Hinehukatere (Franz Josef Glacier). The glacier waters are of great significance to local Ngâi Tahu whose legends speak of how the glacier was formed by the frozen tears of Hinehukatere for her lover Wawe. Local Ngâi Tahu have a long tradition of manaakitanga (hospitality) with the area also famous for its other precious natural resource, pounamu (New Zealand Greenstone). |

The Glacier Hot Pools offers visitors to Franz Josef a relaxing natural sanctuary, located just two hours drive from Greymouth, six hours from Christchurch and a five hour drive from Queenstown.
Experience a wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating visit to the Glacier Hot Pools any day of the year, from 12 noon to 10pm (Last entry 9pm).
